Catalytic inter- and intramolecular coupling of aryl sulfones

Abstract

Catalytic transformations of aromatic organosulfur compounds involving C–S bond cleavage have garnered increasing attention in the cross-coupling arena. However, little attention has been paid to coupling reactions of aryl sulfones at this moment. In this paper, catalytic inter- and intramolecular coupling reactions of aryl sulfones are summarized to expand the utility of aryl sulfones in organic synthesis.
