Synthesis of new phosphorus ligands such as Ph2PCH3CO2C═CHCO2CH3 (DMPPS) and Ph2P(CH3)3CO2CC═CHCO2C(CH3)3 (DB1PPS) in moderate to good yields by the reaction of CH-acid (nitromethane), dialkyl acetylenedicaboxylate, and chloro-diphenylphosphine, as well as their corresponding palladium (II) halide complexes [Pd(DMPPS)2]Cl2 (I) and [Pd(DB t PPS)2]Cl2 (II), are reported. The structures of these compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H, 31P, and 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
We are grateful to the University of Bu-Ali-Sina for a grant and Mr. Zebarjadian for recording the NMR spectra.
