Abstract
Naphthalenone 1 reacts with thiol phosphoric acids 3 and 6 to give adducts 5 and 7, respectively. Reaction of 1 with Lawesson reagent 8 and P4S10 gives adducts 9 and 10, respectively. On the other hand, reaction of naphthalenone 2 with reagent 3 and 6 leads to the formation of adducts 11 and 12, respectively. Thiation of 2 with 8 or P4S10 yields the dimeric adduct 14. The identity of the new products is established from analytical and spectroscopic evidences.
