Abstract
The P-bridged calix[4]arene derivative 1, formed from tert. butylcalix[4]arene and phosphorus pen-tachloride, reacts with ethanol, water, sulfur dioxide, morpholine, hydrogen sulphide and ethyl mercaptan to give the corresponding new P-bridged tert.butylcalix[4]arene diphosphates 2,3,4 and 5, di-thiophosphates 8, 9 and 10 and monothiophosphate 6. The product 11, formed from tert.butylcalix[6]arene and phosphorus pentachloride, reacts with water, ethanol and hydrogen sulphide analogously to give the P-bridged tert.butylcalix[6]arene diphosphate 13 and dithiophosphate 14.
