Abstract
Several new functionalized tertiary phosphine oxides, namely o, m- and p- dimethylphosphinyl-methyleneoxyanilines, bis(dimethylphosphinylmethylene)amine and N-dimethylphosphinylmethylene-ϵ-caprolactam have been synthesized. These compounds were prepared via alkylation of o-, m- and p-aminosubstituted sodium phenolates, aminomethyldimethylphosphine oxide and sodium salt of ϵ-caprolactam with chloromethyldimethylphosphine oxide. The m- and p- dimethylphosphinylmethyleneoxyanilines and aminomethyldimethylphosphine oxide were acylated with benzoylchloride to the corresponding amides. The new compounds were chatacterized by analytical methods, IR, 1H- and 31P(H)-NMR spectroscopy.
