Abstract

Dynamic chemical plating (DCP) is an alternative for producing metallic deposits on nonconductive materials and can be considered as a modified electroless coating process. This article describes the formation of composite NiB–particle films by the DCP technique. The particles used were micrometric graphite (1–2 µm) or PTFE (50–500 nm). The conditions for production of these coatings are presented along with the deposition rates, surface morphology, friction properties, and the degree of particle incorporation into the films.
