Abstract
This article reports on a 1994 national survey of deans of CSWE-accredited MSW programs on policies and procedures related to advanced standing. Responses from 91 (77% of total) accredited MSW programs indicate that an overwhelming number have policies and procedures related to advanced standing, but that these vary tremendously across programs. Findings also indicate that the majority of respondents are in favor of developing national guidelines for advanced standing.
