JCANS (Japan collaboration on Accelerator-driven Neutron Sources)
The JCANS (Japan Collaboration on Accelerator-driven Neutron Sources) was consolidated on Oct. 20, 2011 at KEK with founding members: Yoshiaki KIYANAGI and Michihiro FURUSAKA from Hokkaido University, Susumu IKEDA and Hirohiko M. SHIMIZU from KEK, Yoshihisa IWASHITA and Tomofumi NAGAE from Kyoto University, Yutaka YAMAGATA and Katsuya HIROTA from RIKEN, to activate a nationwide network of individual research activity on neutron sources and moderators.
Now in 2020, we have more or less regular meeting of JCANS at least once a year to encourage the construction of new CANS in Japan. There are two groups in JCANS, an academic group and one including industrial members, to discuss requests by CANS users.
The present members as facilities are shown in the figure below.
