Hypnosis: Myths, Realities, and Applications

Abstract

There are many myths surrounding the study and use of hypnosis. Although theorists disagree about a common definition, the modality has proven to be an effective tool for the helping process. Whether used exclusively, or as an adjunct to other counseling approaches, the information derived from the study of hypnosis can add to the effectiveness of the helping professional.
