Pages 260-263 | Received 11 Feb 2013, Accepted 04 Mar 2013, Published online: 13 May 2013

Abstract

Originally presented at the Economies and Ethics of Performance conference held at Villanova Univeristy, 22–24 June 2012, this paper was one of several presented in a session on the future of graduate studies in performance. In this essay, I summarize the challenges of the past and offer strategies for meeting the present and future economics facing higher education in general and performance studies in particular.
