Mustafa Faruki
Mustafa Faruki is the founding partner of theLab-lab for architecture, a narrowly known purveyor of unbuilt work, unpublished volumes, and unsolicited pleasures. Projects by theLab-lab have appeared at the Drawing Center, the Queens Museum of Art, and MoMA. The office has received material support from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Architectural League of New York, and the Norwegian Ministry of Culture. In his drawing and teaching, Faruki tries to center self-observation, feeling, and a studied consideration of the resonance of our deeply entangled histories in the (unavoidably tragic) determination of our own architectural practices.
