Abstract
A brief psychodynamic psychotherapy was assessed using the Brazilian Portuguese version of the Psychotherapy Process Q-Set (PQS). Each session was scored for its adherence to expert psychodynamic therapy (PDT) and cognitive–behavioral therapy (CBT) prototypes derived from the PQS. Results revealed that the therapy process adhered more closely to prototypical CBT than prototypical PDT. Bivariate time-series analyses showed that prototype components capturing the client's adherence to ideal CBT behaviors and collaboration between therapist and client on ideal PDT and CBT behaviors predicted therapy progress. In addition, specific client symptoms influenced whether the therapist adhered to prototypical PDT or CBT behaviors.
Abstract
Eine kurze psychodynamische Psychotherapie wurden mit der brasilianisch-portugiesischen Version des Psychotherapie Prozess Q-Sets (PQS) bewertet. Jede Sitzung wurde bzgl. Adhärenz gemäß von Experten vorgegebener psychodynamischer Therapie (PDT) und Prototypen kognitiver Verhaltenstherapie (KVT), welche aus dem PQS abgeleitet wurden, evaluiert. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass der Therapieprozess eher dem der prototypischen KVT als dem der prototypischen PDT folgte. Bivariate Zeitreihenanalysen zeigten, dass die prototypischen Komponenten der Adhärenz der Klienten vorbildliches KVT-Verhalten und Zusammenarbeit zwischen Therapeut und Klient erfassten, und dass KVT-Verhalten den Therapieprozess vorhersagte. Zusätzlich beeinflussten bestimmte Symptome der Klienten, ob der Therapeut prototypischen PDT- oder KVT-Verhalten folgten.
RÉSUMÉ
Une psychothérapie psychodynamique brève a été évaluée à l'aide de la version portugaise brésilienne du ‘Psychotherapy Process Q-Set’ (PQS). Chaque séance a été évaluée pour son adhérence aux prototypes de la psychothérapie psychodynamique (PDT) et la thérapie cognitive-comportementale (CBT) construits à l'aide du PQS. Les résultats ont montré que le processus thérapeutique adhérait plus étroitement au prototype CBT qu'au prototype PDT. Des analyses en séries temporelles bi-variées ont révélé que les composantes du prototype qui capturent l'adhérence du client aux comportements idéaux de la CBT ainsi qu’à la collaboration entre thérapeute et client prédisaient le processus thérapeutique. De plus, des symptômes spécifiques du client influençaient l'adhérence du thérapeute aux comportements prototypiques PDT ou CBT.
Abstract
La psicoterapia psicodinamica breve è stata valutata con il test Q-set nella versione brasialina- portoghese. ogni sessione era stata valutata per la sua aderenza al protocollo da un esperto di terapia psicodinamica (TPD) e di terapia cognitiva-comportamentale (TCC), prototipi derivati dalla PQS. I risultati rilevano che l'aderenza al processo terapeutico è più vicina alla TCC prototipica che alla TPD prototipica. L'analisi della correlazione Bivariata tempo biseriale ha rilevato che le componenti prototipiche catturano l'aderenza del paziente ad un comportamento di TCC ideale e la collaborazione tra terapeuta e cliente sul comportamento di TPD e TCC ideale predice il progresso della terapia. In aggiunta, sintomi specifici dei pazienti sono influenzati quando il terapeuta aderisce al comportamento TPD e TCC prototipico.
