Genevieve Waller is a Ph.D. student in Visual & Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She is writing her dissertation on the aesthetic of camp and her research interests include cameraless photography, queer theory, film, gender studies, decorative arts, modern and contemporary art, and popular music. She is also a practicing artist who works with photograms, video, drawing, and sculpture to interrogate excess, everyday objects, and humor.
