The purposes of the investigation reported were to determine, on the basis of the tournament debaters studied, (1) which, if any, of the “stock”; issues were given important consideration; (2) which “stock”; issue was given the greatest consideration; and (3) if one “stock”; issue did become most important, at what point in the debate dis this usually occur.
