Rhetorical sensitivity style in three cultures: France, Japan, and the United States

This study explores cross‐cultural attitudinal differences toward rhetorical sensitivity style. Results of the study indicate that the French subjects preferred a direct rhetorical sensitivity style; the Japanese subjects expressed a moderate orientation towards the use of rhetorical sensitivity style; and surprisingly, the United States subjects preferred an indirect rhetorical sensitivity style of communication.
