ABSTRACT
Destination safety is crucial for destination management. However, measurement scales for destination safety climate are absent. Thus, the purpose of this study was to develop a destination safety climate scale, based on tourism-stakeholder perspectives. Through a rigorous development process, the 31-item seven-dimensional destination safety climate scale was proven to have validity and reliability. This study contributes to the theoretical literature on safety climate, in addition to further study of the relationships between destination safety climate and other relevant constructs. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for destination managers and travel suppliers in terms of safety management.
