The electronic explosion has created a vast potential resource for health care practitioners and the lay public. Several ways to travel the World Wide Web are available, but none yet is sufficiently sophisticated to make comprehensive and immediately useful searches on a reliable basis. This article describes various strategies for finding information electronically, warns of some of the pitfalls, and reviews the most useful sites to gather knowledge about palliative care.
