Persuasive efficacy: A study of the relationships among type and degree of change, message strategies, and satisfying communication

This study examined the persuasive efficacy of message strategies in interpersonal relationships. Results showed that the degree of change is associated with a target's satisfaction with communication and that the type of change is influenced by the strategy of positive identification. In this study, threat had little effect on change.
