Trustworthiness and the Adoption of Business Analytics

ABSTRACT

The satisfaction managers have in their business analytics is related to their perceived usefulness of it as an IT (Information Technology). However, their belief in the trustworthiness of the business analytics team contributes to both the level of analytics they utilize and their satisfaction with it. Both trustworthiness and perceived usefulness increased with better information quality, but information quality did not increase the level of business analytics analysis.

David Gefen

David Gefen, [email protected], is a Professor of MIS and the Provost Distinguished Research Professor and the Academic Director of the DBA at Drexel University. He teaches management information systems, statistics, and analytics. Professor Gefen has authored some of the most cited papers in MIS on trust, ecommerce and online markets management. His research is published in leading journals including MIS Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research, and Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS). Professor Gefen authored a VB.NET Programming textbook and a book the Art of IS Outsourcing. He is on the JMIS editorial board and was senior editor with MISQ.
