When Do IT Capabilities Create Value for Buyer Performance? The Moderating Effect of Social Capital on Supply Chain Information Integration

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the effects of information technology (IT) integration and IT flexibility on information sharing and collaborative planning within supply chain. It also examines the moderating roles of shared value and supplier trustworthiness. The results indicate that IT integration is positively related to collaborative planning, while IT flexibility is positively related to information sharing and collaborative planning. Furthermore, shared value and supplier trustworthiness positively moderate the effects of IT integration and IT flexibility.

Shaobo Wei

Shaobo Wei is an assistant professor in the School of Management at the USTC. He obtained his PhD from USTC and CityU. His research focuses on supply chain integration and IT business value creation. He has published papers in journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Decision Sciences, Journal of Information Technology, and International Journal of Logistics Management, as well as in conference proceedings, including those of the International Conference on Information Systems.
