ABSTRACT
Nd-doped bismuth titanate, Bi4-xNdxTi3O12 (x = 0.75 ∼ 0.90) ceramics, was prepared by the solid state reaction method, and the effects of Nd doping on dielectric and ferroelectric properties were investigated. With increasing Nd content, the Curie temperature decreased and the dielectric constant peak broadened. In addition, the remnant polarization, Pr, increased at the composition of x = 0.80 ∼ 0.85, and then the maximum Pr was 11.05 μ C/cm2. Moreover, the coercive field decreased. The appropriate Nd doping increases the remnant polarization and decreases the defects, and it is favorable to improve the ferroelectric properties.
