ABSTRACT
Ferroelectric capacitors in the paraelectric phase can be used to implement a wide variety of tunable radio frequency (RF) circuits. Due to their low loss, fast tuning speed, size and low cost, thin film high-K capacitor is promising technology for the development of tunable filters, active and passive filters and voltage controlled oscillators. This paper presents an electronically tunable matching network for broadband amplifier for RF applications, utilizing thin-film Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) tunable capacitors. The performance of tunable matching network implemented tunable BST capacitor was compared with that of conventional p-n junction varactor.
