Abstract

Ordered porous films of polystyrene (PS), polyphenyleneoxide (PPO), brominated PPO (BPPO) were prepared by breath figure method. Different influence factors such as material, concentration, and substrates on the film forming were studied. Experimental result shows that the BPPO is the best material in the three polymers to achieve the porous structures. When ice substrates are used, the BPPO forms porous membranes with high regularity and permeability.
