Abstract
Textured Ca0.85(LiCe)0.075Bi4Ti4O15 ceramics were prepared by reactive templated grain growth method using Bi4Ti3O12 templates. The highly oriented Ca0.85(LiCe)0.075Bi4Ti4O15 ceramics (f = 98%) were formed in situ topotaxially on the Bi4Ti3O12 templates, which exhibit high piezoelectric properties (d33 = 33 pC/N) compared with the randomly ceramics in Aurivillius-type bismuth layer structured ferroelectrics. The d33 value of textured ceramics has excellent temperature stability when the temperature is below the 500°C. High Tc and DC resistance also illustrate that the textured Ca0.85(LiCe)0.075BiTi4O15 ceramics can be a promising high-temperature piezoelectric application.
