ABSTRACT
Lithium ferrites were prepared by adding different amount of Na2SiO3 with representative formula Li0.5 Fe2.5O4 + yV2O5 + xNa2Sio3 where y = 0.1 wt% and x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25 wt% by the ceramic technique and using high energy ball milling. XRD confirmed the samples with single phase spinel structure. The lattice constant and the X-ray density are found to be of the order of 8.3 Å and 4.8 g/cc respectively. The Curie temperature of these samples ranged from 642–637°C. The frequency variation of the dielectric constant and dielectric loss showed dispersive behavior. The magnetization behavior of these samples was studied from the M-H curve.
