This volume of Integrated Ferroelectrics features 23 selected articles from The First Materials Research Society of Thailand International Conference (MRS-Thailand 2017) held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on October 31–November 3, 2017. The conference drew attention and participation from over 2000 researchers in all fields of materials research from both domestic and international. The conference provided a general forum for enhancing interdisciplinary interactions, dialog, and collaborations among all engineers, scientists, technologists and related educators in the field of “Materials Research”. It was a great opportunity amongst students, researchers, scientists and industrial sectors to exchange their idea with others in the knowledge of emerging materials and establish new research networks with new international colleagues.

The 23 articles were selected and peer-reviewed to publish in this special issue. We would like to express our deep thank to all the reviewers for having taken their precious time to review the manuscripts and provide crucial comments and suggestion to assure the high quality of the MRS-Thailand 2017 Proceedings. High appreciation also goes to editorial managing team for their great efforts in of the review processes.

Finally, we would like to express high appreciation to honorable invited speakers, organizing team and staff, sponsors and all participants who together made the MRS-Thailand 2017 conference possible.
