Abstract

The nanocomposite coating was optimized to improve the poor deformation synergy (eg.easy to fall off and peel off). Gecko-inspired bionic nanocomposite coating, inspired by gecko setae with a broom-like structure, was innovatively proposed by adding nanoparticles with different compounds and particle size. “Gecko toes dynamic adsorption-desorption effect” was simulated. Electrochemical test, mechanical properties test and XRD characterization were performed, respectively. Electrochemical test and mechanical properties test results show that gecko-inspired bionic nanocomposite coating has a better anti-corrosion effect and deformation synergy than conventional coatings. XRD characterization results indicate that nano-additives contributed to the formation of molecular level adhesion force.
