Abstract

In this study, the Fe-Cr-Ni-Si and WC alloy coatings were deposited on the polished 2Cr13 steel samples by using a laser cladding technique. The microstructure, tribology and erosion-corrosion resistance properties of laser cladding coatings were investigated, and the influence of WC proportion on properties of coatings were analyzed. The research results show that the ratio of WC in alloy powders affects obviously the tribology and erosion-corrosion resistance properties of laser cladding coatings, when the ratio of WC in alloy powders is 20%, alloy coating possesses excellent properties of hardness, wear-resisting and erosive-corrosive resistance, which can prolong effectively the operating life of equipment.
