These conferences include the International Conference and Exhibition on Science, Technology and Engineering of Materials (ISTEM2022) held in Pattaya, Thailand from November 29 to December 2, 2022; The 3rd International Conference on Science and Technology of Emerging Materials (STEMa2022) held in Pattaya, Thailand from August 4 to 6, 2022; and, The 4th Materials Research Society of Thailand International Conference (MRS-Thailand 2023) held in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand from February 28 to March 4, 2023. Collectively, these conferences drew attention and participation of over 700 researchers specializing in various fields of materials science and applied physics. Nonetheless, only the papers related to the journal’s themes and scopes. were selected for review and publication in this Special Issue.

ISTEM2022 drew the attention and participation of more than 450 researchers in various fields of science, technology and materials engineering. The conference featured three distinguished keynote speakers and 45 invited speakers who delivered presentations on their current research. In addition, there were 220 oral presentations and 180 poster presentations that provided a great opportunity to all participants to share their recent research information and knowledge together.

STEMa2022 attracted over 150 researchers from emerging fields of materials science and engineering. This conference included two plenary keynote speakers and 15 invited speakers from various material science disciplines who shared their current research. There were also 60 oral presentations and 70 poster presentations that provided a great opportunity to all participants to share their knowledge.

MRS-Thailand 2023 was attended by over 400 researchers from various fields of materials science. The conference featured three distinguished plenary speakers, 10 keynote speakers, and 50 invited speakers in various fields of materials science who delivered their outstanding research. They were joined with 150 oral presentations and 180 poster presentations which allowed for the sharing of recent research information and knowledge together.
