Statement of Retraction: Synthesis of Nanocrystalline Polycalix[4]amides Containing Mesogenic Triazole Units and Investigations of Their Thermo Physical Properties and Heavy Metal Sorption Behavior

This article refers to:
RETRACTED ARTICLE: Synthesis of Nanocrystalline Polycalix[4]amides Containing Mesogenic Triazole Units and Investigations of Their Thermo Physical Properties and Heavy Metal Sorption Behavior

We, the Editors and Publisher of the Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part A, have retracted the following article:

Moslem Mansour Lakouraj & Hamed Tashakkorian (2013) Synthesis of Nanocrystalline Polycalix[4]amides Containing Mesogenic Triazole Units and Investigations of Their Thermo Physical Properties and Heavy Metal Sorption Behavior, Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part A, 50:3, 310-320, DOI: 10.1080/10601325.2013.755859

Following publication, significant concerns have been raised about the integrity of the data and apparent unreferenced overlap with the following article published within few days of each other by the same author group:

Moslem Mansour Lakouraj & Hamed Tashakkorian (2013) Synthesis and thermophysical properties of nanocrystalline polycalix[4]amides and polycalix[4]arene containing mesogenic triazole units and their heavy metal sorption, Supramolecular Chemistry, 25:4, 221-232, DOI: 10.1080/10610278.2012.758366

When approached for an explanation, the authors have been unable to address the concerns raised. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The corresponding author listed in this publication has been informed. The authors have agreed to retract the article.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
