The Berlin Principles in Russian University Rankings

Pages 614-626 | Published online: 08 Dec 2017

Abstract

At present, two national ratings of universities are published annually in Russia, and they should be incorporating the Berlin Principles of university ranking, adopted in 2006 by the International Rankings Expert Group (IREG). There are, however, specific national features involved in ranking Russian universities. What do they consist of? How are the Berlin Principles accounted for in domestic ratings methodologies? The author attempts to answer these questions.
