Abstract

The symmetry of C₆₀ and C₇₀ in solution is reduced by specific solvent effects, which have been studied in detail by electrochemistry, and electronic absorption and resonance Raman spectroscopies. This review outlines how surface/solvent interactions involving the fullerenes affects their physical properties.
