Abstract

An examination of 180 specimens of Cyclopsetta CitationGill, 1889 (Pleuronectiformes: Paralichthyidae) confirmed the validity of four species: C. chittendeni CitationBean, 1895; C. fimbriata (CitationGoode and Bean, 1886), C. panamensis (CitationSteindachner, 1875) and C. querna (CitationJordan and Bollman, 1890). A key to the species, with new characters, is provided.
