Abstract
Layered Li-rich oxide, Li[Li0.13Mn0.56Ni0.31]O2 is prepared by oxalic acid co-crystallisation method (OA). Physical characterisations reveal that the obtained material is uniform grape-like micro-nano spherical structure with diameter of about 5 μm, composed of 200–300 nm particles. Galvanostatic charge/discharge tests demonstrate enhanced cycling stability and largely increased rate capability of the material synthesised by OA, compared to that of solid-state method (SS).
