Note from the Editor

Note from the Editor

Greetings, JSE readers! Please join me in welcoming aboard the new editor for JSE: Dr. Jeff Witmer, from Oberlin College, Ohio! Starting in 2019, you will be reading notes from him. I am very excited to see JSE in the capable hands of Dr. Witmer, and wish him the very best!

I am happy to present to you my last issue as editor of JSE: this issue includes four regular articles, one Research in K-12 Statistics Education article, one Datasets and Stories article, and an interview by Allan Rossman with Nick Horton. I hope you enjoy reading this issue, and welcome your feedback on the issue as well as the new column.

Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank JSE Editorial Coordinator Jean Scott, ASA Journals Manager Eric Sampson, and Taylor & Francis Production Editor Rebecca Corpier for all their continued hard work in putting together this issue, as well as the past issues during my term.

It is also that time of year when I get to express my deepest appreciation for JSE’s editorial board, and thank the associate editors and the referees for the voluntary contribution of their time and expertise to JSE. Their service is invaluable!

I would also like to remind you that if you and/or your friends and colleagues are involved in statistics education research and practice, I encourage you to consider submitting your manuscript to JSE. You can submit under one of the following three categories: general, Research K-12 Statistics Education, and Data Sets and Stories section. You can find the issues from this past year as well as guidelines for authors, and information about the journal and editorial board at http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/ujse20.

Please keep in mind that all submissions to JSE are made through the Scholar One system at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ujse.

Remember you can request to join JSE’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/486553198048126/?ref=ts&fref=ts.
