Abstract
This essay critically reviews some trends in transnational feminist communication studies. It then makes a case for the importance of transnational perspectives in feminist communication scholarship.
Notes
1. While the entire book, CitationValdivia (2000) is important, I focus here on the chapter “Gendered silence and resistance: Rigoberta Menchu reaches the global arena” as it best encapsulates my arguments here.
2. I have elaborated this argument in CitationShome (2006).
