Hilda Lloréns teaches in the Sociology and Anthropology department at the University of Rhode Island. She is the author of Imaging the Great Puerto Rican Family: Framing Nation, Race, and Gender in the American Century (Lexington Books, 2014).

Ruth Santiago

Ruth “Tata” Santiago is an environmental and community attorney who lives and works in Salinas, Puerto Rico. She is the recipient of Sierra Club’s 2018 Dr. Robert Bullard Environmental Justice Award and co-founder of the Convivencia Ambiental.
