Abstract

Previously, we reported that high-dose ascorbic acid induced carcinostatic effects through hydrogen peroxide and superoxide anion radical generation-induced cell death and growth arrest in human tongue carcinoma cells. Recently, the comments and concerns related to this article were pointed out regarding especially the hydrogen peroxide generation in the experimental condition. In this article, I would like to reply to these comments and concerns and state our thoughts related to the study.
