Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the associations between sexual compulsivity and the sexual behaviors of college women. Data were collected from 170 college women through an Internet-based cross-sectional survey. Measures included recent and lifetime sexual history, intentions to have sex during an upcoming special event on campus, and the Sexual Compulsivity Scale. Women who were higher in sexual compulsivity had more lifetime sexual partners, were more likely to engage in sex with partners outside of a relationship, and were more likely to report intentions to engage in sexual behavior with non-relationship partners.
