RETRACTED ARTICLE: MiR-370-5p inhibits the progression of breast cancer via targeting LUC7L3

Abstract

We, the Editors and Publisher of the Journal of Receptors and Signal Transduction, have retracted the following article:

Kai Sang, Tongbo Yi, Xinxin Huang, Chi Pan, Jian Zhou & Lei Yu (2021) MiR-370-5p inhibits the progression of breast cancer via targeting LUC7L3, Journal of Receptors and Signal Transduction, 41:5, 442–450, DOI: 10.1080/10799893.2020.1819319

Since publication, the authors noticed duplication in Figures 2, 5, 6, and 7. As this error directly impacts the reported results and conclusions the authors alerted the issue to the Editor and Publisher to request correction. The authors acknowledged that they had made mistakes and the Editor and Publisher found that the corrections could not be made as the concerns with the figures compromised the integrity of the entire article. In response to our investigation, the authors provided several files, but they were unable to provide their original data in a format which satisfies our requirements to confirm its authenticity. We are therefore retracting the article to ensure correction of the scholarly record. The authors have been informed and agree with the retraction.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
