Abstract

Two calix[4]pyrrole‐modified silica gels were synthesized. Their separation to amino acids, phenols, benzenecarboxylic acids, and some medicines were studied. The separation process is governed mainly by interactions of hydrophobicity and hydrogen bond between stationary phase and analytes. Calix[4]pyrrole‐modified HPLC columns have the potential to separate some positional isomers and medicines, which is meaningful for the further studies and applications in the fields of analytical and supramolecular chemistry.
