Author: Matthew Woods
Journal: Prehospital Emergency Care
DOI: 10.1080/10903127.2019.1671563
The article has been updated with further information with regard to decision making prior to performing procedure. The author has made a note of a densely adherent placenta and attempts to remove it which may be of interest to the reader and paramedic involvement in neonatal resuscitation. An acknowledgement section has been added.
When the above article was published online, the following sentence in the case report section was written incorrectly: “The decision to undertake perimortem cesarean section was taken and then performed immediately on the living room floor by the critical care doctor.”
The corrected sentence should be as follows: “The decision to undertake perimortem cesarean section was taken by the two physicians on scene and then performed immediately on the living room floor.”
In addition, the following sentences were added to the article:
“Placenta densely adherent despite efforts to remove it by the HEMS doctor.”
“Further resuscitation was assisted by the air ambulance paramedic.”
An Acknowledgment section was also added to the article.
The online version has been corrected.
