ABSTRACT
Animation is a prime way to promote tourism destination marketing, but how animated content affects the image of tourism destinations has not been fully discussed. Based on the grounded theory, this paper analyses the reviews of animated film “Your Name.”. We found that: the sensory impressions of animation include structural impressions, environmental impressions, plot impression. Structural impressions are related to characters, soundtrack, visual style, environmental impressions contain natural scenery and cultural atmosphere, plot impression deepens tourists’ emotional attachment to the destination. Structural impressions form the foundation of sensory impressions, environmental impressions constitute its main body, plot impression is its key.
