ABSTRACT

Smart tourism is a burgeoning development direction in recent decades. However, research on smart tourism development from the perspective of multi-stakeholders is limited, which is important for policymakers and suppliers. Hence, this study aims to solicit insights from smart tourism-related stakeholders to construct a framework for developing Hong Kong’s smart tourism by adopting a qualitative method. Findings reveal the necessary elements, possible benefits, and current barriers to develop smart tourism using Hong Kong as an example. Theoretical and managerial implications are provided accordingly.
