Volume 19 issue 4
Readers will notice that Mathematical Thinking and Learning has a new associate editor, David Kirshner, from Louisiana State University. David is replacing Dick Lesh, who remains on the editorial board. David is well known and highly respected in our mathematics education community and will bring a wealth of experience to the journal. He has been a long-standing, valued member of the editorial board. I know that David will fit seamlessly into the existing editorial team.
I especially wish to thank Dick Lesh for the unwavering support and the professional guidance he has provided the journal since its inception 20 years ago. Dick was one of the first people I approached to join me in establishing MTL and together we developed the first volume of four issues. Dick has remained fiercely loyal to the journal throughout this period, always willing to offer timely and insightful advice. His decision to remain on the editorial board is greatly appreciated.
