Abstract
A relationship is indicated between gradients and ages of Late Quaternary shorelines of the Vättern basin in south central Sweden, based on the presumption that the change of the gradients of raised shorelines caused by unequal land uplift can be expressed by an exponential function of time. The numerical calculations are mainly based on formerly published data which are critically examined. The author finds that the proposed function well fits the gradients of shorelines developed in the period about 8000 B.C. to present time. A detailed summary and figure texts in English are added.
