Abstract
A summary is given of the investigations in Caledonian geology in Sweden during the last 25 years. In these decades the following problems have been subject of treatment and discussion: Tectonics in the eastern margin. Caledonian main structure and thrusting. Stratigraphy in the big Seve-Köli nappe. Polyphase folding movements.
For a general view of the actual problems the reader is referred to the description of the Swedish Caledonides in Magnusson et al, 1960 and Kulling-Strand, 1970.
