Sara Skinner holds an MA in conflict analysis and management with a specialization in ethnic and security conflicts from Royal Roads University. She has delivered training in Canada and overseas on negotiation, third-party interventions, and communication skills. She has been working in Sudan and South Sudan since 2008 with the Carter Centre and the United Nations. She is currently working in South Sudan with a non-governmental organization, Saferworld, as a technical advisor on Small Arms and Light Weapons, supporting the government and civil society.
