Yujin Kim
Yujin KIM is a post-doctoral researcher at the Asian Center for Women’s Studies at Ewha Womans University. From a historical and aesthetic perspective, she analyzes the portrayal of racial identity in modern drama and theatre. Her research focuses on the aesthetics of contemporary visual and auditory representation, exploring its historical significance. She has published academic articles, including “From the Within: Judith Butler’s Performativity and the Representation of Black Women in Nella Larsen’s Passing” (2018), “Lynn Nottage’s Sweat as a Tragedy for Ethics of the Other” (2022), and “From Melancholia to Anger: (De)Racialization of Asian American Affects in Beef” (2023).
