ABSTRACT

The article presents the results of experimental and numerical simulation of oscillations of the structural nonlinear dynamic system under moving load. Laboratory tests were carried out on an experimental facility designed and manufactured by the authors to research the features of the dynamic behaviour of elastic-supported beam systems with displacement limiters. The obtained experimental data converge well with the obtained results by the calculations performed in the MATLAB environment based on the numerical algorithm developed by the authors using piecewise linear basis functions. The article evaluated the possibility of using the modern computational complex LS-Dyna for the analysis of oscillations of load-bearing systems with limiting supports. The influence of the speed of moving load, stiffness of beam, and elastic support on the features of the oscillations of the dynamic system is investigated.
